Hall of Fame
The Hunter Maddex Hall of Fame was established in 1980 to promote the spirit and tradition of Handley Athletics and honor athletes of the past.
In 2009, the JAA Board of Directors created the Edwin Barksdale Wing of the Hunter Maddex Hall of Fame to honor outstanding athletes who attended Douglass High School and who would have attended John Handley High School if not for segregation.
Help us continue to honor our past athletes by donating to expand the Hall of Fame's Wall of Athletes in the Handley Gymnasium.
