Greetings Judges!
Welcome to the Judges Athletic Association! I’m thrilled to start my term as JAA President on August 1, 2025. Thank you to outgoing President Eric Chrisman for his years of leadership and support.
In May, I attended my second JAA Scholarship & Awards Ceremony as a Board Member and concluded that it is one of my favorite days of the year. The mission of the JAA is to provide financial support to the Handley athletic program and its student-athletes. Specifically, the JAA awards scholarships to graduating Handley High School student-athletes.
At this year’s ceremony, we awarded $70,200 in scholarships, and to date, the JAA has awarded $2,193,300 to graduates. These are funded by generous community members in honor of beloved former Judges, coaches, and family members. We couldn’t have this impact without you — our Judges community.
Each year, the JAA also contributes to the athletic program at Handley. We support teams by purchasing equipment and various team uniforms. This year, we were able to fund $19,700 in “wish list” items to benefit multiple sports. This support is funded by our membership dues and various fundraisers throughout the year.
Among other fundraisers, we sell 300 Club tickets, hold an annual summer golf tournament, and will be hosting an indoor concert this fall. We encourage you to check our website — judgesathleticassociation.com — and our social media pages for info on these exciting events.
Whether you are a long-time supporter or considering your first membership, your support is vital for the JAA to fulfill our mission.
